I passed this milestone, this morning, on the way in. It's only been a few months, since I hit 166,666. And I didn't drive over Christmas, or New Years much.

Hey Jeff. How is it that you car is 10 years old, with that many miles, and your Q looks like showroom condition? Man, that's like the most mint Q that I've seen in many years. What is your secret? You dont see too many silver ones. Keep up the good work. I wish mine looked half as nice. My Q has seen better days. Runs fine, just has many dings and dents.

It's all the highway driving he does. When people say "highway miles" it really does make a big difference. The less stop-and-go traffic on a Q the better.

Congrats Jeff!

Nick :)

Thanks, Louie, I have a few door dings. It seems the camera doesn't pick those up, that well. I also had the front and rear bumpers re-painted. There was a lot of "garage rash".

In Alabama, the heat is not so bad on the interiors, since there is a relatively high humidity. The lighter color leathers doe well.

The car was garaged, most of its life, so the sun hasn't had a chance to dry it out.

I bought it from a co-worker, last year, who bought it in 1997. He took real good care of it, with leather conditioner, and frequent cleanings.

Yes, I am truely blessed, to have such a nice car.

I plan to drive it another 100,000 miles, at least.

I will be adding my Tokiko Blues (Christmas present), new brake rotors (cross drilled and slotted) soon, cleaning up the engine bay (new valve cover gasket on driver's side - already did passenger side), and cleaning up the interior (new floor mats). Then I will take some nice hi-res digital pictures, for the Member's Ride section.

What was the cost of valve cover gaskets?

Jeff , your car is absolutly breathtaking.

I even had made it my wall paper for a day or two.

I bought the gaskets from Joe, and I think they were around $12, each.

I understand the 90 to 93 models didn't have them, but they were added in the 94 models.

I did the replacement, myself. (I forgot I had a digital camera, so no pics of the cams. I will take some of the driver's side, though).

Stop, you're making me blush...:oface

Thanks, though.

Since I got the silver color, I have decided that is the color for me. It makes the chrome blend in, and the aluminum/silver wheels fit right in.

If I get an extra $100 or $200, I would like the clear side marker lights, to add that "little extra touch".

I am definitely proud of my car.

Based on our experience the 94 valve cover seals work no better than the old RTV method ........of course easier to change without scraping the RTV off.

Mine were prety toasty, and the exhaust manifolds have black dried globs, where they ahve been leaking a little bit, for some time. The only good thing, is, the spark plugs looked very good. It seems all the leakage, was aroung the lower seal, close to the exhaust heat.

Thats where mine was on the drivers side......

Jeff, your car is golden... I wish mine was as well cared for... :)

Silver really hides things like dings and dirt better than any other color... I like darker colors better, regardless of how they are to take care of......

That car is spectacular.

I love my IPQ, but if I had to choose a second color it'd be black or silver... Gorgeous!

Hello Jeff,Your car is in amazing condition! That's what people should call "showroom condition" eh? I also made the picture of your Q as a wallpaper for my computer. An absolute beauty!

Aloha (Spelling?)

Thanks for the boost.

It is showing its age, a little, but I still amaze people all the time, when I tell them it's a 1994, and it has nearly 180,000 miles on it.
