17" or 18" for my 02 sentra

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

17's are a better choice. 18's would require extremely thin tires, which make it more likely that you'll bend a wheel in a pothole or the like. Also, tires are much more expensive for 18's than 17's, and you get a lot more selection in the right diameters to match your speedo with 17's.

I don't post much but FWIW:

I ran 18x7.5 wheels with 225/40-18 tires. This tire size is fairly common nowadays and they are availbale at good prices just about everywhere. My 07 SL was lowered with Eibach Sportlines and I had no clearance issues or ride issues. I rotated tires regularly and didn't experience any funny or wierd wear issues either. No doubt these tires will be thinner than the 17's but in my opinion the wheel wells on these cars are so big that the 18's just look better proportionedto the car.

I got an 01 SE with the SE-R headlights and front end i run 18x7 Kazera rims with 215/35ZR18 general exclaim rubber . I would definitely run 18's fills out the wheel well a lot better than the normal 17's Heres some pics of my car with the rims (my car was parked on a slop that day thats why the rear it so high up in the air)

They "fill the wheel well" the same, assuming you run the right diameter tires. The only way to really reduce the open space in the wheel wells is to lower the car.

35 series tires are so thin that the likelihood of bending a wheel goes up and ride quality is reduced significantly. Of course, this is a matter of preference.

Mag, your 07 is a different generation. The design works with larger wheels better both aesthetically and in terms of tire size.
