17 adr's

I know they are not the most expensive rims but ou can get a set of four ADR SPADE 17's on ebay for about $350.00! Just wondering if any one knows how good these rims are, and wheather its worth it or not. I really like the look of them so it seems like a deal to me. They have a +40 offset. Just wondering if they will crack easy on me, or anythign else...thanks guys

ADR builds a solid wheel... but I wouldn't buy wheels off of ebay, period. Some people like to chance it, or maybe they are comfortable with the seller's rating.. but to me it's still too risky. Bent, out of round, curbed, scratched, faded paint, worn out lug seats.... and the list of things you cannot really see unless you have the wheels in hand is long. Even if the seller is reliable, and you run into difficulty with a bad wheel, was it worth the hassle? You could get the same wheel, half the hassle, with warranty, from a local shop.... and have a place to return the wheel to if there is a problem... instead of shipping it out to wherever.

Will they crack? Not from regular use. If you blast a pothole hard enough, any wheel will bend or crack. So I suppose the only question is are you willing to take a risk on getting a blemished wheel or wheels, and deal with the hassle involved(shipping, waiting), and is the price an indicator of condition?
