Hi everyone. It is unusual that I come out and publicly ask a technical question but I can't get a straight answer from any of my research...

I have just purchased a set of Rota Grid "off roads" which has the dimensions of 16x8 +10... I am currently running a Konig Rewing setup which is 15x7 +0 wrapped in 195/60's...

I don't rub now due to about 3 degrees neg camber in the front and 1.25 degrees camber in the rear with a roll and a slight pull to make everything fit.

The new wheel setup is going to be nice, but I can't decide tire wise what to do... I followed a thread elsewhere about tire choice and it wasn't completely solving my issue...

here it ishttp://forums2.nicoclub.com/sh...69898

From my research and tire size / offset calculators at the following...http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp

After all my calculations I decided the closest true match would be a 205/50/16.. It would give it some stretch but the side walls are huge and I am worried about destroying the inner fenders and body... So I thought about 215/45/16's and the overall diameter decreases too much but I get a little more needed stretch... Not to mention it is a harder tire to find...

I am really into road racing as compared to drift so I need the contact patch and can't sacrifice it with too much sidewall stretch, but I also need the stretch to fit..

There lies my issue.. I need stretch to fit, but contact patch to roadrace... Do I get a smaller height tire and just redo the whole suspension and corner balancing again? Or do I try to closely match the current height / position of the car with a larger tire and sidewall?

Any help would be appreciated because I am tired of banging my head against the wall over this one. Offset is everything it seems, but on a 240 great offset is complicated by the design of the fenders so you need some stretch... Huge stretch doesn't = huge traction unfortunately so I turn to you the NICO community to answer my dilemma

Thanks everyone!

Um, Raise the car up a bit?

I dont know if this helps, or if it even applies to you, but just as an example.

im running 16x8 +15 with 225/50 tires.

and Im low, im not slammed, but its still low, see for yourself:

I can raise or lower it easily... The problem is I have to realign everything on the entire car... It is corner balanced at its current height as well as adjusted for camber, and toe in all 4 corners... So a small change starts a big process...

That is why I was trying to find a good tire setup without changing the height.
