...........My trip from Morehead City to Ft.Lauderdale should have taken 14 or more hours and I made it in 12. 830 miles one way. I got my seats, which were in mint condition(Thanks James) and was going to stay and race with Rob today but and unexpected Job interview was arranged for 3pm today here in Morehead City. That sucked, mainly because last night I was in FL. ready to stay at least 3 more days, maybe even a week. Left NC yesterday at 530am and got there 12 hours later, then found out I had to come back today, so I left FL at 2am to get back here by 3 for the interview and made it back in 11 1/2 hrs!

1660 miles in 48 hrs and the Q performed in most excellent fashion! I made one stop only each way and that was for gas and a snack. 440 miles on one tank. Better then I thought. Ave speed of 85 mph and good weather(along with a prayer)made my trip worth the effort. Now I know the Q will hold up on those long drives with no problems.

I feel cheated that I didn't get to meet up with Rob, but things are good for the next time I go down to Fl. Free room and a 1/4 mile track are to tempting not to get back down there. Plus, we have another Q45 owner in that area who is new to NICO who use to train people on the BMW road courses. I'm sure you'll here from him soon enough, he's got a Y33.

Anyway, what a car I have put back together!!

Everytime I see your car I mean to drop you a note. THAT IS A INCREDABLE PICTURE OF YOUR CAR!!!!!! I really like the look very well done. I will be in houston (i;m in CA) for a week in march, I like to see it in person and talk shop if it's ok.

About 22 gallons. Of course most of the long time board members here know it is never wise to run it below the last ¼ tank.

On my two drives to Austin from Seattle, I made it in 2½ days with her in the fully loaded FY33, and 2¼ days even more loaded G50 without her.

2500 miles.

It's 22 gallons, but I never let the yellow warning light come on eventhough I did let the gauge get almost to empty. So when I filled up it still had another gallon and a half to 2 gallons left. Normally I fill up before it gets to 1/4 tank, but fot the trip I wanted to see for myself what kind of mileage I could expect.

I did 410 miles on one tank once. When I filled up, I think I had one gal. left in the tank.

Thanks for your kind compliment of my car, Mark!

It's not shiny and clean like that most of the time in real life. Brian can confirm that because he's seen my car a couple times while he was in Houston. Brian travels to Houston frequently. Maybe us 3 can meet up and chat. Shoot me an email before you go to Houston.

440 miles on a 92??? I had my dads for 6 months and never got past 370 without thinking it was on fumes...I guess it could go that far but never had the guts to push it that far. My Y33 gives me the total zero at about 3 gallons left so I've never put more than 18.5 gallons in and I think it holds 21.5.
