Quick question, I'm looking to swap out the stock 17" wheels on my 2003 qx4 and I'm wondering if the 16" Xterra wheels will bolt up OK. Hopefully the offset will be OK.

The bolt pattern is identical so the bolt up will match fine. The offset might be an issue depending on the year from which the Xterra wheels are coming from. The '03 QX4 wheels have a 20mm positive offset. A '03 Xterra wheel has a 40mm positive offset. "05 to '15 Xterra wheels have a 30mm positive offset. Mounting the Xterra wheels on the QX4 will move the wheels inward which might rub you the wrong way.

If the offset is an interference fit issue, you could look into getting a set of hub centric wheel spacers. However, there are some potential issues with spacers as well and if you live in Australia, spacers are illegal. In the USA, folks are divided into two camps. Those that think they should be illegal in the USA as well and those that think they are the coolest thing since fuzzy dice hanging from your rear view mirror was normal. Do your homework on this one, if you go that route.

I had no idea. You can build street-legal go carts in most of the country but you can't space your wheels. Go figure!

Were you able to swap your wheels with Xterra?
