Im curious if these bulbs are ACTUALLY 150watts. I basically wanna put some BRIGHT a** bulbs in my foglights H3 spot for backroads and foglight use. But Id like to actually get 150wat bulbs.

Like what are the stockers, 35watt?http://cgi.ebay.ca/4-H3-150-WA...%3A50

Thats the auction I was looking at. Would the bulbs actually be bright as heck?

ANd also, it comes with relays for some reason, can I not just plug them intot he factory H3 spot and have them get full wattage, or can the factory wiring not accept that much?

Really hoping to get these, as I drive in heavy fog ALOT and through fields when finding camping spots ALOT, and some VERY bright as foglights would be b****in

They might be legit, but I wouldn't put them in the stock housing.

Your H3 are 55W bulbs, and by nature, fog lights produce a low, wide beam pattern to help illuminate the sides if the road, not 100' down the road.

If you are looking for something that will throw light down the road, get some driving lights or spot lights, and if you want them to be decent in the fog and not reflect as bad, get a yellow filter.

Other options are go get some bad weather bulbs by Philips that have a yellow tint to them, but any coating on any bulb will reduce its light output.

Blue lights are not recommended.

Time for an aux light bar.

Just trying to fit something into the factory fog housing, since I never use them on regular roads, only my mountain going to my house so it wont be blinding any other drivers or anything

I want something that will be BRIGHT, and light up EVERYTHING, Im pretty sure 150 watt would do that moreso than my highbeams even right?

Im sick of not seeing rabbits lol

The relays are being offered in the add because that will help guarentee the lights receive the full 13-14V and the power goes through the relay and not through the switch. The switch will activate the relay, thus saving the strain on the factory or switch wiring.

You would still need a fuse in there somewhere on the positive lead.

Oh, 150W lights can get kinda hot. That's why I would advise against putting them in the stock housing.

Light bar across the from bumper or find lights that you can stuff in the lower bumper.

150W / 12V = 12.5Amps. Times two fog lamps, that's 25 amps, and that's going to need 10 gauge wire, and I doubt that's what you have. And a 30 ampfuse. My '01 PF has a 15A fog light fuse, and the fuse and the wiring are matchedto the load.
