went to get my g smog tested yesterday and the dude that owned the shop crashed his g a week earlier... practically giving away parts for free.. only had liability insurance.. i got both his front seats for $100 because they have the power recline feature, unfortunately the seat connectors are different from mine so i gave it back.. somebody else got his 19's dirt cheap, while i was there.. g was '06 with about 30,000 miles...

well i got my g up to 145 once... anyway, he said he hit a dip in the freeway then his rear went airborne ( another reason to get a spoiler ), landed, lost traction with the road, car spun and hit the center wall... not even a scratch on him... his friend who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, hit his head on the front glass... he told the highway patrol somebody rear swiped him causing him to spin and was going 70 at the time...

Who would drive 150 MPG on spares? I would say that is the cause of the accident, not bald tires (or maybe combo it up). I don't have sympathy for stupid people. Am I cold hearted? Maybe. Either way, it was an accident waiting to happen. I would also say the damage is consistent with a 150 MPH impact. Look how far the front bumper was pushed back. It also caused structural damage all the way to the back behind the sunroof. There is also no evidence of someone hitting his tail end to cause him to spin out. Stupid patrolman.

Going 150 is something you don't want to be caught doing...

But I think he lied a little on his speed. There is no way that is all the damage from a 150mph accident! I don't care what anyone says... He might have been going 80-90mph. When you come in contact with a dead stop at that speed. No one lives

same thing happened to my buddy he was actually doing 120mph in a poniac grand prix, hit a dip, and car jumped it... but he tapped the brakes in the air and the car "tripped" once it caught pavement again... car spinned a couple of times and hit the wall... But NOT at 120mph once hit hit the wall... he didnt have a mark on him... and the car drove off the highway.

those spares are there because someone got his 19's... the damage on the roof and trunk were caused by his other moronic friend who was using it as a trampoline... and if you look at his rear left bumper, there was damage... i agree with everyone here, the guy is an idiot... 150 and bald tires don't mix... should have taken pictures of the tires... they look like slicks... i asked him what was he thinking.. his response " i was running late"..

yep... after his stupid stunt, he sold his 19's rims, well 3 of them, for $300...you can see the front left ( looking from the rear ) is still on the car... they were badly bent from the inside... wonder why the buyer didn't take 'em... i'm pretty sure they can still be repaired...

He was probably doing 150 at the time he hit the dip, and he hit the wall at an angle (probably the driver's front corner), so it wasn't like he was hitting it and stopping, which is probably how he survived.

without a doubt.. spinning would reduce your speed.. that was what my OP meant.. he was 150 when he hit the dip running on bald tires not when he crashed... then because of the damage on his left rear bumper, he then told the HP that someone clipped him, causing him to spin and crash.. HP believed his story... he then sold his 19's after the fact... i got his seats because of the power incline feature for $100 but because the connectors are different i gave it back... bank probably already towed the car by now... he only had liability insurance... damage on his roof and trunk was caused by his moronic friend, using it as a trampoline at his shop... whew... hope nobody else gets confused... i'm starting to get cross-eyed...
