engine, harness, belts pump alternator ect.. the setup is all leftovers from my old sohc setup except manifold and turbo.turbo2nr wrote:looking good, did you pay 150 for the engine alone or the whole setup? ither way good deal.
the engine was pulled from a 91, the most difficult part is all the labor . the best way to do the swap is to get the de and e harness chop the small plug at the end off, match all the wires colors to mate the old plug off of the e harness to the de harness. some wires wont match colors dont even hook them up just tape them out of the way. other than that you gotta use a tach from a de car. find the writeup on the wiring theres only 5 wires that need to be hooked up to the plug under the dash . its pretty simple as far as swaps go. the weakest part from e to de is that the de is a knuckle buster.IWannaS15 wrote:Great price. What year was the DE from?
Whats the hardest part about the E to DE swap?

15-18 psi untill i get a couple things changed with the setup.nissanfanatic wrote:How much boost are you going to run on this engine?
Nah... Thats average stuff for the KA..IWannaS15 wrote:Thats a lot of boost for a stock KA...
sohc's can hande just as much power, the key is good fuel management. my sohc ran mid 12s pretty easy, the only reason it was that slow was because it had a super laggy t70 but still trapped 118.skylinekin wrote:can you give us some feedback on dohc ka-t vs. sohc ka-t??? Since youve had both id like to hear your thoughts.
I think you will notice a more responsive feel due to the dual port design of the KA head and the overall better flow of it will produe more power at a given boost level in stock trim.shockload wrote: sohc's can hande just as much power, the key is good fuel management. my sohc ran mid 12s pretty easy, the only reason it was that slow was because it had a super laggy t70 but still trapped 118.
