I'm shopping for wheels and the limited selection of 15s has me considering 16s.
For those of you who have done a daily driver with light to medium off road capability, what wheel did you end up with?

This has also been a great tool for deciding which tires would accompany the current fit:

16s are pretty easy - Our 2014 Xterra Pro-4X has 16s... Keep an eye out for a set of takeoffs (from someone who bought aftermarket wheels).

I have also been looking for 16s to replace my 17s.

I wonder if the large 5 spoke wheels from a 2005 Frontier will fit? I keep seeing those for decent prices on my local CL.

Outside of replacing what may be an ugly wheel, such as the 3 spokers on my 03 Q, why go to a smaller wheel? Perhaps for ride, perhaps for wear, they spec a pretty low tire pressure at only 30PSI so they don't ride badly for a 4WD truck, although not quite like a sedan and it's still got quite a bit of cushion between the edge of the wheel and the road, it's a big tire, not a super low 30 or 35 series.

It's not a huge difference, but I drive out into the woods and I prefer a little more sidewall flex and rubber between the wheel and the rocks.

I just bought my Pathfinder a few months ago and the tires are worn in the front. I'm replacing the shocks and struts and having them check all the bushings. I have spotted some of those 2005 Frontier wheels locally for about $200, but I wasn't sure on the fitment.

This. I was seeking the same without getting a lift (which I will do later).
Problem is you need at least 3.75" of backspacing if you want to get taller tires (e.g. 31"). By getting a wheel with that backspacing, you open up more options in the tire choices.

I snagged a set of 4 of these for $200 recently https://www.summitracing.com/parts/usw-046-5860gm
and will be trying on some Cooper Discoverers soon. Question is if I should do the 70 or 75 aspect ratio. (Is the poorer gas mileage worth the tradeoff of the extra half inch of sidewall)

OEM spec in Italics:
SPEC: 245/65/17 |265/70/15 | 265/75/15
DIAM: 29.5"| 29.6" | 30.6"
WIDTH: 9.6" | 10.4" | 10.4"

SIDEWALL:
6.3" | 7.3" | 7.8"

REVS/MILE:
683 |682 | 658

I can appreciate that.

I air down to ~24 if I expect to be in very rocky terrain to try to save the tires. Kind of a PITA to have to air back up the next day, but such is life. I've had to do worse.
