For those of you who are riding on original rims, there seems to be fewer choices than ever. I have been riding on Toyo Proxies (225/60/15's V rated) for the past 95k miles (three sets), great performance and long lasting. When I picked up big nail in my sidewall, I went to my local Tire Kingdom to get some more Toyo's. Unfortunately they discontinued that model and they had not received the replacement model yet. The rep said he had another good tire in that size by a manufacturer named Fulda. A popular tire in Germany that was purchased by Goodyear. I never heard of them. They had a promotion where you could return them within 30 days with full refund. He suggested I try them and I could exchange them for the Toyo's if I didn't like them.

I put two 225/60/15 Fulda Assuro's on the front. When I sat in the car it seemed higher than before. These tires are wider and taller (look like 235's) than the proxies even though the #'s are the same. The tire has a more squared look with stiffer sidewalls, it felt like I improved my shocks. I liked them so much I put two more on the back. I've had them for about 8000 miles and I find them superior to the Toyo's. The car feels like it has a little bit taller gears and since I am an autobahn driver (I drive about a 100 miles every day of the week, 95% at 80mph and often a lot more. I get to touch 100mph daily and I love it) my races are at high speed and I'm more concerned with passing power than off the line. The Q will still peel out, but not like before. The car feels heavier like it's glued to the road and extremely smooth. At 90mph my rear view mirror looks as sharp as my windscreen, absolutely no vibration. The car tracks very straight. They give the car a more aggressive look. Highly recommended @ cost of $87 per tire. They are H rated so the race stops at 130.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------96Q45/ 139k 2000 Q45 Anniversary/ 56k
