These patitions are kind of silly, but they do represent a real divide in this country. We are no longer a country of people that respect their neighbors and it's becoming increasingly uglier as the two camps coalesce around their respective opinions. Obama campaigned as a uniter, but he has done more to polarize this nation than any previous president. That is not to let any of the other guys off, though. We have been heading in this direction for a long time and Obama just kicked in the VTEC, Yo!
There is a reason I did not bring my wife back to the states when I could have. This place is going to be set on fire in the not to distant future and I don't want here here when it goes down. I can see kissing her goodbye, hoping I will see her again, and getting on a boat heading for America and whatever is going to happen. A plane won't be an option because likely 51% of the American public will be on the no fly list by then.
I forecast two years or less before we see open conflict on the streets of major cities. Secession? Never going to happen, nor should it. It's a take our ball and go home b**** move, but to dismiss the real animosity underlying it would be a mistake. We can talk all we want and take immature jabs at each other and post sarcastic smilies, but people are getting very very angry and it's coming. s*** is going to get real and when it does it's going to escalate fast and all that resentment that has been bubbling under the surface is going to come out.
