I've been looking to get some "cheap" jdm-ish rims for my 95 S14 base model and the only thing I have come across that interests me are Rota Slipstreams. Yeah yeah, i know every honda owner has them, but hey, they are cheap and look decent(IMO). I've mainly been looking at the 15's since they will fit with my stock tires(right?). Is there anyone else out there that has gone with the Rota's? Obviously they are 4x114.3, they are 15x6.5, and have an offset of 40. I've got a maroon/burgandy S14 and I want to get the "flat black" Slips, good choice or no? Would like to hear some feedback, whether it's positive or negative, but if you could give me some reasoning. Don't just post "rota's are gay" or flame me, I would love to get some "real" JDM rims, but $$$ doesn't grow on tree's where I live and the only ones I have seen online for sale are either curbed up or not appealing to me. Thanks in advance guys.

PS- I've attached a pic of the flat black rota's for those of you who don't know what they look like.

thoes will deffinitley look worse than stock on an s14, sorry. its going to be way past sunk and 15s just look stupid on a car as big as s14. leave it stock until you can get somthing that is actually made for the application. MAYBEEEEE if you got 17" rotas in white or bronze (black wheels look bad, they look like steelies) and put some kind of giant spacer on there, but you would have to retorque the lugs at every stoplight to keep the wheels on.

Why not opt in for a set of the FN01R-C's?

$780 shipped for the set of 4 17x8's

Nicer fitment, nicer width, better wheel.

What you can't see is how badly sunken in the wheels were with a 16x7 +40. It honestly looked stupid,.

woooorrrddd...not to say rotas are bad rims... but if you're getting them in that size... you're not really getting any benefits(+diameter, width, looks) except maybe weight savings? By the time you get the right size rotas plus spacers you'd be better off buying the FNs anyway.

Thanks for the info guys. I guess I'll scratch Rota's off my list. Those 5Zigen's look pretty sweet, but after tires I would be looking at $900+ I'll just wait it out til I can save up some more cash or find a deal on some used rims.

Nismo_Freak- sweet car bro, you've got the exact same one as me! I've been looking for a pic of a S14 in our color with black rims, and yours looks sweet(from that distance). What is your suspension setup? You've got a nice solid drop, springs or coilovers?
