'15 roof rail corrossion

Hi all.

Anyone else have some major corrosion happening on their roof rails? I have no doubt it will be covered under warranty, but I noticed this weekend that both front sections of our roof rails had the plastic coating peeling, and as I poked a bit more I noticed a considerable amount of corrosion.

Doing a little googling I haven't found a lot about it, but did find some other owners getting their rails replaced.

More of a little FYI than anything.

You're definitely not the only one having this issue. I have a 2014 and have had 1 complet replacement of the roof rails & cross bars after the first winter. Now have had the cross bars replaced again after the 3rd winter !

Definitely not good quality of their paint & products !
Like the rest of the vehicle quality and Service at NISSAN, They just don't have it...... A lot is left to discussion​...... NISSAN not seeing anything wrong...

Again my first and DEFINITELY my LAST NISSAN !

They replaced mine too and said that Nissan had sent the dealers a memo to replace them under waranty no questionned asked. Have the new ones on for over a year now with no issues.

That's a pain, but I'd keep hitting the local dealer up for a new set every time the coating peels and it rusts. Nissan will get the hint eventually!

I will not bother with that for long....... I will get rid of the ROGUE completely !

NISSAN is in no way a quality product.

There Service leave so much to desire....
I hate to always have to fight to get Right done !
The customer respect is just not in there way of doing business.

The Right side was replaced on mine around January this year now i can see rust on the left side behind the paint and the plastic cover on the right side is cracking
Apparently they will replace both now with a new set .
I'll update this next Monday after the repairs
