Just got done last night installing a 15" kicker solobaric L7. I got a rockford fosgate power 1500bd amp on it. This sub is awesome. My friend has the same setup but he doesn't have the hatch so mines better Can't wait till I can really turn this beast up dam break-in period. Anyone else install a big sub in their hatch?

break in period is a partial myth. The only thing that will change is possibly the voice coil gap will be slightly offset, but this would really only be a problem after a few years.

Now what I think you're talking about is just "unstiffening" the driver . This can be done very quickly by basically playing it for a few minutes then turning the volume up to soften up the surround and lower the compliance.

Now pst some sarn pictures!

Also, what are your main speakers? If you say OEM, I swear I will come over there and kick your arse!

I think it's time for you to get a digital camera. They're pretty cheap.

Even I got one

I made the box to specs.I could have made it 4 times smaller and but some speaker fill in there and it would be pretty much the sae.But I like building box's to max size specs not their minimum. It's making bolts rattle off my car. Afraid to put a bass test CD in.Can't even turn it up loud now with lil jon playin.

That's always the best way to do it. Build the box as large as you can, within specs.

For sealed enclosures it will lower the tuning frequency.

Yea it's a pain. All my interior bolts are coming out.MY door panels have popped off before.Sunroof keeps falling on me.Panels next to the backseat have to keep getting reattached.Only thing that hasn't happened yet is headliner fall. Also I guess previous owner used some killer glue on my rearview mirror. That thing has not fallen off yet.My tailights rattle pretty bad.
