See, I never understood why people thought the 240 in stock form was such a dog. I know my 240 isn't that fast when you think about It, but I think it has pretty decent power. It's good to see people throw down some nice numbers like that! That's RSX-S range. I mean comon, our cars name has numbers and letters in it! That just screams performance. :ylsuper

89-90 are the lightest and when combined with the slighly more powerful DOHC KA they can lay downs some pretty impressive times. Stipped with a LSD and some sticky tires im sure one could see times dip into the mid-high 14 second range.

From what I gather, RSX-S runs low 15's or high 14's with a good driver.

Very impressive. Best I've seen an almost stock KA24DE do so far was 15.6. That puts you in the same range as the RSXs and Celica GT-S.

i don't have a scanner but i'm going to head down to kinko's very soon and scan it, then i'll post it up.. i had some nitto 450's but they arent very sticky? matter of fact.. they dont stick at all...i raced a rsx-s that day also and he ran a 15.4, then a prelude sh -15.7 , a civic with a ls motor 15.3 and then a 350 Z - 14.1 which i took first and second gear. 1/8 i ran a 9.6

i bought my 240 for the curves, i think they are more renowned for that than 1320's.

i dont like how people are always saying how horrible the KA is. i think for a 4cyl from the early 90s that can do about a 16 stock is not slow. sure its not a good engine if your looking to make it an all engine drag car but stock, its a nice engine. only reasonable poor quality about the KA that i can see is that it doesnt make power in high rpms, which makes it a less fun car to some but i dont mind

Pick your poison...... some people like one or the other, some like both. Post was a little irrelevant to the subject. :)
