I just bought a certified Pre-Owned 2011 G37 sedan and found out that the previous owner neglected to have the 15,000 mile service done. The local Infiniti Dealer wants $940 to do the service but the local Nissan dealer will perform the same service for $240 max. The local Nissan dealer said that they can do Infiniti repairs as long as they are not warranty related.

Since the 15,000 mile service is not something that is done by warranty and is out-of-pocket Will I Invalidate the remaining Factory Warranty by allowing the local Nissan dealer to perform the service?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like they are wanting to do the Premium service:
- replace oil and filter
- replace in-cabin microfilter
- lubricate locks/hinges
- replace engine air filters
- replace wiper blades
- rotate tires
- inspection

Schedule 1 and 2 list changing oil/filter, microfilter, tire rotation, inspection

Now, if you are not ready for an oil change then don't get it. 15k is too early for replacing the microfilter, IMO and you can do that yourself ordering parts from tunerzstore.com and following this how-to. IMO it's also too early to replace the engine air filter, but you could check and see if they are dirty or not. If so, save the money and order filters elsewhere as to replace them takes about 2 minutes. If your wiper blades don't need replacing or you don't want to pay the dealer cost then don't do it.

For the most part, Nissan is probably going to do the minimal service whereas Infiniti was quoting the Premium.

I just reached 15k miles on my 2012 G37S

An oil change and air and cabin filter replacement is all that is necessary.

+1 most can be done your self

- replace oil and filter (id let them do this, $45 bucks and it includes inspection and car wash)

- replace in-cabin microfilter (this is a pain in the a**, but not worth $100 in labor, do it your self at your convience)

- lubricate locks/hinges (never had this done in 93k miles, at least not to my knowledge lol, locks still work)

- replace engine air filters ($100 for this service is just a insult IMO, takes less than 8 mins to change BOTH filters)

- replace wiper blades (will cost you about the same $40 to get brand new better wipers, instead of just replacing the rubber blade, do this your self)

- rotate tires (id let them do this or get a another shop that cost less do this)

- inspection (comes with oil change)
