That code (1447) is for evaporative emission canister and should be fixed.maxnix wrote:Any code in an OBD II car should be well considered before dismissal. The FSM has a table of codes.
I always give Bozos with a red dash light on a wide berth on the highway. Who knows what else they have neglected? Steering llinks? Shock absorbers? Tires? Brakes pads?
Decorum is good.bullittandy wrote:

Where's that thread about decorum on the Q45 board?
thank you and I agree about Decorum, but I just ignore most of it.bullittandy wrote:

Anyone who wants to fly in formation with the Bozos with red dash warning lights illuminated on the highway should feel free to do so.bullittandy wrote:Where's that thread about decorum on the Q45 board?
The check engine light/MIL is orange.maxnix wrote:Anyone who wants to fly in formation with the Bozos with red dash warning lights illuminated on the highway should feel free to do so.
It won't be me, though. See ya!
He also failed to notice that I had the code ran and diagnosed but after I just spent 1400 to do the Knocks and the O2's I thought I would WAIT to fix it if it wasn't a big deal. Hence the thread was started to determine if it was an immediate issue or one I could tackle in the near future, NOT whether I should or shouldn't fix it.bullittandy wrote:

Also, you missed the point of the previous posts. It is poor manners and bad decorum to call a member a "bozo" or any other name.

That is what the mechanic told me too....He also said that it can be a pain in the a@$ to try and find out exactly why that code is coming up.bullittandy wrote:I'm pretty confident that it will not cause any major problems, I think its just an emission control device so the only side effect is more pollution.
