When I was test driving the Rogue last weekend, I noticed a whistling sound (almost sounded like a window was slightly cracked) that was close to my ear in the driver's seat. This was the most prominent at speeds above 50 mph. It was an intermittent sound but very annoying since it was fairly high pitched. I checked all of the doors and windows to ensure they were closed and they were. When I got back to the dealership, the sales person rode with me and heard the same noise. We took out another Rogue and didn't hear a thing. One thing that I noticed when I was comparing the Rogue that made noise and the one that didn't is that the Rogue that made noise looked like it's weather stripping wasn't straight above the driver side's door and there was about a quarter of an inch gap between the end of the weather stripping for the front door to the back door. The other side of the car did not have this gap and was straight. The car that didn't make noise also didn't have this quarter inch gap and the weather stripping looked correct on both sides. The service department went ahead and ordered new weather stripping. Fast forward to today and the service manager looked at it and said it was "normal". She showed me another car that had the weather stripping the same way. However, their other vehicles did not have weather stripping like that and the service manager played it off as normal differences in production. I'd buy that more if their wasn't a whistling sound at higher speeds. Is it normal for the weather stripping on the driver side of the door to have bends in it and have a decent sized gap between the front and rear driver side door? To me, it seems odd that the passenger side weather stripping doesn't appear damaged and looks correct.
