13B in an S13

So I'm out with my friend in his 300zxtt last saturday, just racing around westheimer as usual. Its a really nice car, all he added was a greddy exhaust and blowoff valves. Not that many cars could take him, most cars around are just stupid ricers. That night he gets his *** handed to him on a plate by a Camaro SS 25th aniversary and a Supra tt, both stock. When this happenned, a little light went off in my head, I just got an S13 like 2 months ago and was planning an Sr20 swap. Now I'm thinking I'd like something with more power from the start, but an Rb26 swap just costs waaaay too much. I wanted to know if putting a 13b-rew into my s13 is withing the realm of possibility and approximately how much would it cost. would there be any fitment issues? How much custom work would it involve? I've never seen anyone do something like this before, I mean I seen them in like datsun 510's, but never in a silivia. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I know that in the case of a 510 it costs roughly $10k to do the swap perfectly. But that also includes converting the 510 to accept fuel injection. It can be done on the s13 and would most likely cost around the same. After all the 13b isnt all that cheap, factor in turbo(s) and the parts to support it and it'll add up quickly. Check out the swap price for a rb20det from http://www.unstable-hybrids.com, its much cheaper than the 13b and they also do higher hp swaps too if need be.

Also, if you would do this swap, i would recomend the 13bt not the 13brew.

i woudl drive it....

id rather do an Rb25DET swap tho, i dont think itd cost more then 5 grand for the RB swap

There is a guy in FL (doubt hes on the boards) that has an S13 with a 13B. I think the car was yellow and the original owner sold it awhile back. I think I read about it on the old NICO boards.

wow, guess this might be harder than I thought. althought the Rb25det swap does sound tempting. I guess the only issue there would be difficulty in coming across parts. I have a civic as a daily driver and want to build up the silvia to be like insanely fast. I just always see all these guys with 13bs, 2jzs, even Vg30s breaking like 500hp like its nothing. I know they come stock with turbos and everything. I just wanted something with higher potential than an Sr20, not that it doest beat ***, just looking at cars like the top secret Jza80 and veiside R34 made me wanna have something that almost no one could ever take you with.
