130t computer

my son has a 96 i30t. his check engine light is on. does the 130t have a similar set up as the nissan 240sx where you can turn the screw on the computer and count the blinks to get the error code. if you can where is the computer located.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I have a 97 truck (which has the OBDII computer) and it still has the screw, so I would guess that it does. You can download the service manual for $20 plus the TSBs at http://www.infiniti-techinfo.com

Forgive the mispelling of Infiniti in this website name, but the information is accurate. My guess would be the 96 is OBD2

Looks like the same list as my truck uses... probably standard, since that was one of the big goals on OBD II. I believe all 96+ are OBD II compliant.

thanks for the site Rex. the site has a list of codes but if i read it correctly i will need a scanner to shoot the code.i wont be able to access it without one.
