i want to make my s13 into a consistent 13sec car i have about 3000 to spend on the car what should i do?

rebuild the engine with better pistons and stuff then get the head fully redone with stainless steel valves and port and polish then do the transmission with a racing clutch and short shifter then if you have enough money get some tires then maybee a turbo and then you will probley get better than 13s

first thing you should do is search... there are many ways to get your car to 13's:you can turbo your kaor drop in any of the jdm engines available... which would be:the sr20the rb20the rb25the ca18the rb26 but that would probably cost more than 3 grandyou could also do a v8 swap... the possibilities are endless, all depends on which way you go....

id suggest searching and visiting all the diiferent engine sections at the forums

i have been on nico for 2 yrs now i just keep forgetting my password and user name. anyways i have researched all the enignes and such but what are some like reciepes to get 13s what engine and bolt ons or setups bring in 13s

KA with a wet or direct port 150shot of nitrous....cheap as hell...if you want you could replace the pistons with forged ones and you'll be good for a 200shot all day long....lots of cash left for a heavy duty clutch, rims, cai, exhaust, header, pullies, ect

IAP turbo kit.do some minimal upgrade and you can.I'll have 4k into mine.And if I blow my engine I get new one for 600ish or so.Most likely cheaper then build up my blown.IAP kit $2600 SAFC II $260 injectors $400 exhaust ($xxx) manual boost controller $50-100 IAP kit will put you around 230rwhp at 7/8psi

turboing your KA should cost just over 2 grand and you should be able to upgrade from there. You might want to visit the SR, CA and KA-T sections and decide for yourself.

buy a decent equal length manifold for your ka. buy a t3 turbo from a salvage yard. get a set of 370cc nissan injectors used for liek 100 bucks. (be sure to have them flow tested) if you want to run 13 second passes your boost must be intercooled before it enters your TB. you can use various side mount or oem intercoolers u may find in a salvage. theres a list in one of the stickies of stock ICs and info about each. perhaps you will opt for a front mount intercooler. you can pick up an IC kit for 600 bucks. that set up can take you into the 13s and give you extra money for proper tuning equipment. tuning is the most important part. you should also have enough money to purchase a dp and you do not want to use your stock fuel pump so replace it! for the intake you can modify the intake on your car if its already an aftermarket one or make one with some extra piping. your stock maf will limit your engine from taking enough air to put u at anymore than 260hp if your lucky. so upgrading your maf is something that also must be concidered when building a 13 second car.

well if he wanted he could always buy a rb20 for like 1500 and the mounts for another 300~400, then buy a new fuel pump, upgraded turbo, boost controller, clutch, tires, and do 13 sec 1/4 miles, all depends on preference

there is a T28 ball bearing on e bay for 750 bucks, comes with an intercooler. Just get some intercooler pipeing, injectors, AFC, clutch short shifter and maybe if ya have enough cams or laughing gas Easy to run 13's on KA's all day. Just gotta know what ya doin :-P.

i have been thinking of the nitrous idea because it is less wear and tear on the stock motor. Does anyone know what the motor is capable of with the nitrous. how much nitrous can it hold how mcuh would a 125 take off my et and so on and so forth. i know aries ran a sick time with nitrous but i have no idea what his set up was

dont go anywhere near that ebay 750$ turbo setup... its ssautochrome, and they fall apart before u ever get to make boost... no one had success so far from what i hear. 100% failure. I could be wrong but i trust the masses.

what?!?, $400 for injectors?
