hello gents. have some weird issues w/ my coupe.

1) instrument KEY light always on... its to the left of the seatbelt light, orange in color.. pic of key, w/ work key over it.
it comes on, and stays on... any ideas?

2) driver seat stuck! the front/ back, up/down stopped working. stuck? the seat back power works..
the release lever only fold the seat forward, but it doesnt glide forward for back seat access... ideas?

It's difficult to diagnose the cause of your coupe's key light staying on. It may something as simple as resetting the system or related to the key fob itself. If you have warranty remaining on your car....just have a dealer address both problems you described. :yesnod

With this in mind, it's any level of electrical issues.

How many keys did you get with the car, and do you know if they were water damaged? I would start there, as a repair at each step in the troubleshooting process from there is more expensive than a key replacement. The light is on because it cannot communicate properly with they key. Have you tried inserting the fob into the backup tray to the left of the steering column on the underside of the dash? (this is used to communicate with the key in the event the battery is dead within the fob - note that it is not meant to charge the key.)

Have you verified that the seat rails/track contain no obstructions or anything of the sort that would fuse the seat in place? Do you hear the power seat motor attempting to operate, or does the switch not seem to activate anything? As far as the seats, it's either the motor, the switch, or something in between and would not be related to the key error.

i got 1 key w/ fob, and there was another key (w/out fob) in that key tray. its the key that clicks into the fob. it was just wedged in there...

i dont know if keys were damaged.. the fob works, and the car starts no problem. putting the fob into tray does nothing.

yes, seat has no obstructions. i even took the seat out of the car, and the release lever doesnt do anything, but fold the seat back forward. seat doesnt glide on tracks.
no motor noise at all, when operating the front/back/up/down motion.
seatback motor works fine.

question for you guys,
how does the release lever release the power/ electronics to roll the seat fwd/back?
is there a wire that pulls off the motor gear?

On the driver side, the release lever does not move the seat on the slider at all. It only releases the seatback.

Unsure - I would look at the fuse panel to see what the diagram says on the inside door. If that was damaged/removed from your car, then I will go find a copy of it here and post back.

Yes - as far as a coupe is concerned, they are the same. Now your best bet is finding a V6 version as they always had power driver seats equipped regardless of trim, but the 2.5 version had them available as an option.
