Why are you getting an fmu?? You got injectors a SAFC and adjustable fpr.....why are you going backwards to a FMU?

its been 5 months and doing well. no issues. this is a second gen ssac mani thats braced stopping vibration. and i reweld suspect spots. and i have been out many late night doing pulls and getting a nice tune. In my truck i carry and rebuilt Garret T3 and i have been waiting for the xs power one to break and it has not. it proves if you stay with-in your range u will not have problems.

yea i meant to take that off. the reason was at the time i had the fpr that came with ssac kit and it was just very cheezy. and i was going to purchase an aem fpr but i actually im still using stock fpr which is fine. with vaccum on it peaks at about 38psi with it off peaks at about 45 psi or so and that was pressure tested in a local shop in my area. i said nothing about standalone FMU;s however

I know the oil line over the top is an eye sore. when i made the lines. summit sent me the right size steel braided teflon Line, but wrong length. but its been fine. clears and is not snaged or binding. ill re-route soon i have had no oil issues in 5 months

FWIW, I've been running an SSAC topmount for 2 years now and no cracking (the later version with bracing).

man its like hit or miss with em. i have heard good and bad and seen both. Just cant belive what you read online, build it urself, if it breaks you will learn why and possibly how to doctor the part up to make it better. THe problem comes when guys wanna run 101 psi and when the thing exploads they blame in on ssac. sometimes i have seen the go down because bolts rattled loose causing alot of vibration.

if it budget boost you want get it. and dude i have buddies who work for shops such as Turbo XS here in MD and the guy has and ssac manifold for his RB setup. but he happens to be an pro welder lol so u can fix and brace were ever with his tig welder.

you can got spend 1000 plus on a full race or rev hard manifold lol and to here him say that he would not even shell out the money made me feel even more certain that if you tryign to boost with-in your means, you will be fine. not if you trying for an all out drag extream high boost you should not skemp on anything and you will have to eat that full race manifold and it will be all worth every dollor. or just buy an tig for about 1000 or so used and make ur own manifold, thats what i would do cause building is fun.

If you do get a smallish FMU, 2 or 3/1 will expand your current injector pretty well and not jack up your current idle settings. However, you'll need a wideband to tune it so you can get the mixture right cause the FMU will drasticly alter your current setup on boost...like you needed to hear that. Budget boost rocks...always will. Congrats again.

^^ Thank you

very tru man. thats def my next mod. becuase its no point in going with a narrowband A/F other then to have more interior lights at night lol. i have minor bugs in my system due to me not know where my A/F ratio is through out my Rpm band. last night when it got colder i was breaking up a lil, I tryed uping the fuel a bit due to colder air and turned the 14.1 and 14.0 at 103 and 105 mph. my timing is dead on and i have not detonated ever. so i have been lucky so far, but i dont wanna push it

oh yea the tires were just something i was drifting on lol so they were bald lol. i lower tire pressure to 23 psi and man i shoot out of the stagign lane, with a R/T of .119 fastest of the night for me at the particular track MIR ( home of Pinks lol)psDebt is almost paid off lol. i can begain to play forreal

Man its way lower then what i was aiming for with the boost leak. i was expecting about an 14.5 or so. becuase i was only getting 6 psi like i said. man the tractions was sick all the way down the track man. when i launched it just rocketed ( not a word huh? ) out of the blocks. I was smiling all day man. been through alot with my 240, 3 motors 3 trannies and about 6 clutches and lots of gas and other basic needs to later get an 13.7. i was NA for about the first 3 1/2 years of ownership an ran an 15.8 with everything stripped from the motor, but it allowed me to learn my car completely befor power adders

nice run there, ya ran a 15.8 with a stripped motor? Oo i ran a 15.8 at MIR in my '91 with only an intake, header and 3" catback on it, i had full interior and my subs in there too. Id figure if you had less you shouldve ran alittle faster?

edit: is that a custom downpipe or not?

when i ran the 15.8 this was at Capital almost a year ago. i had 93 manifold no emission. no power steering no ac 2.5 exhaust with test pipe Very deep and loud growl.. and that day i had full entierior with fullsize spare jack and tool box lol i ran a 15.8 which is still better then 16.2 our stock times. yea we booth had way to much extra stuff in our car, i just didnt have anywhere to sit it and i didnt plan on going to the track the particular day lol.

the downpipe i welded my self 2.5. got the lil bend from advance auto and welded the o2 bung also even though i dont use it.

ill take a pic 2mar. all I used was this flange becuase its and 5 bolt style exhaust housing, but only 4 bolt holes are drilled out and taped. if you want u can drill and tap the other holes out.

also the pipe is just a regular 90deg crimp style bend ( not good at all) i had to cut about 2 inches out so that it would fit properly. and its open. my exhaust is not hooked up at all. a lil later ill be welding up some new 304 stainless. i dont have emissions to worry about for a while also i have no cat or emissions equipment, so it will not make a difference anyway lol

Wow, have you had your car dynoed? That seems hard to believe on only 6.5lbs. You sure you're guaging your boost accuratly? What is the turbo a super 60?

I was planning around 14 flat at 15lbs with a super 60. I sure hope I'm wrong!!!!!!!

Nice work dude, the setup looks really nice. I need to install another motor in my car but I got no $. Hopefully I will be able to fix it soon. I gotta feel the boost. Lol I only want to run 7lbs for now I don't want to break any damn motors. The first motor got a metal booger in it (That motor was so freaking clean) and the second was given to me for free with a million problems lol.

Like they say nothing is free.

You could easily run a 14 flat at probably 7psi on a super 60... 15lbs is going to get you around ~280whp, paired with a nice clutch and tires, you'll be low 13s to high 12's...

hell, I know a guy that ran a 11.9 on a s14 t28 @ 14psi on drag radials.. stock engine.

yes sir, my gauge is accurate. i actually borrowed and known working gauge to verify.

i mean if it has anything to do with it, the car is fully gutted, bumper support is gone. no emissions at all no ac no PS and i have act stage 4 clutch and nismo 11lbs flywheel. every extra peice of mounting metal is gone from the motor. and i am running open downpipe. not to mention that the tires i had were some old bald drift tires lowered to 23psi lol so it was poor man grip actually. I really didnt expect to run that day.

the turbo is an xs power T3
