SO I dont want to go through this year what I did last year with my first ever winter up here in Canada. My 01 Qx4 produces ALOT of great heat, but it takes 10 mint o do so and I dont want my car idling for 15 min in the driveway for my miniscule 3 min trip to work and the litle daily driving I do

Im looking for a heater that will warm up my car from -10 QUICK

All I see on fleabay is 200W heaters that couldnt warm up my finger tips. Are there any REAL nice 12V heaters that would actually put out some heat??

Someones gotta have some love for the canadian winter and how brutal this s*** is!! I almost cry when I sit on that leather and touch that wood steering wheel!! So COLD!!

Driving warms up a car faster than idling. Just drive.

yea my QX4 takes time to warm up as well and when it is able to put out full heat it's still not very hot.

Iwas in canadian tire today and they just dont make any nearly strong plug in heaters

Only thing I came across was a damn blow dryer (for hair) tey put out heat quick, but I dont know if my 300W power interor could take the power it needs

And Id rather have a heater meant for the car instead of holding a hair dryer lol

Look into commercial trucker supplies. You'll find heating units available.

Cheapest/easiest way to do it is just drive a bit.

Thats because you have a bad thermostat.

Just drive a bit.... lol. Youve never been to canada eh?? Like Isaid, I only drive a "bit" to work, and I wouldnt mind having a clear windshield, and above freezing seats a little quicker

So far best bet is a hair dryer

I looked into the commercial units for big rigs, but there MASSIVE and intended to be run off a generator

If you just use a block heater your car will warm up quicker for heat. It also won't have to sit and idle for a long time to get fully operational...

(I thought all Canadians knew this...)

Are Canadian tires anything like Canadian bacon? Like sort of close but not really tires?
