If it is the manual, why do you ask? Nissan wouldn't lie to you & risk lawsuits.

you can open 'er up now but I'd avoid high revs, that can shorten engine life any time. I don't ever plan to go over 4k with mine. I'm gonna have my oil & filt changed at 1200 miles too.

well sometimes these manuals say it, but its not that true, anyways I ask because sometimes when enterting Highway or after red light I really need to hit the gas to accelerate faster, there is no way I cant, and it revs up almost to 4k, and it lasts about 3 seconds lol is that okay? or does that ruine the engine?

well, if the manual is going to "lie" it is going to lie in a way that will protect the consumer (and the company's financial interests).

e.g. the engine would likely be well "broken in" at 1000 miles and yet to be safe they give an extra buffer of 200 miles.

long story short, don't worry, be happy.

Sometimes, you can't help BUT overrev past what the manual says, I.E. going thru a turn and not being able to shift while turning. I did it a lot before 1200 miles. But, what most people that don't know how to properly break-in and engine do is burn-outs, high-revving, and my personal favorite: the guy who thinks shifting at red-line is the peak of power for the car.

when we all know that redline is the no-no area of the car. ive driving my car hard from the first day i got it. no problems ever when any engine. I now have about 6k miles on my car and i still drive it hard. But I would say out of all my driving...80% of the time I'm driving slower then everyone else ( for some of my own personal medical reason :D ) and 20% of the other time I'm pushing her pretty hard because...well...i get bored.

Is this a sly reference to to driving under the influence of drugs and/or having said drugs in the car, or am I missing something?
