12 second 240SX at Pomona

I went to the sport compact drags at Pomona today. Someone ran a 12 second S13 against a Supra and got spanked. I was wondering if the car is owned by anyone on here? The race wasn't even fair, because the Supra was like a low 10, high 9 second car. It was cool to see a 240SX out there though.

Yeah I saw that one too. I thought for sure the Supra would spank the S13 but boy was I wrong. I went to look for him in the pits but could not find him.

I pretty sure he had the Sr20 cuz I could hear the BOV from the stands. Nice run though. :ylsuper

The Supra won. The Supra ran a 9 something to the S13's 12 something.

Nah, the only thing I can figure is that Climo and I have two different variations of what it means to be spanked. I call close to 3 seconds of difference in the quarter mile, a spanking. Maybe Climo was saying that he didn't expect the S13 to do as well as it did? It put down a 12 something, but still lost.

i am well aware of wat it is... but i believe someone is trying to say that only jdm sr20's have them.. which is a big mistake, any turbo car wishing to can use one it only relieves the backpressure from letting off the throttle so it doesn't shoot back to the turbo, damaging it

BTW, I have a HKS SSQV BOV on my 240, and it runs just fine non-recirc b/c is a dual chamber design (and you can ask nsport on this if you doubt me, I was originally gonna recirc it, got the flange and all.)
