In case you were curious. Clearly on a closed course. I won't be doing it again. That is at 6,800 RPM in fifth. It'll do all of fifth once i up the boost and get it tuned.

WOW nice data there. Do you happen to know what 5500 rpm in fifth is? Thats my top speed. Its scary as hell holding high rpms for a long time.

that is sick dude! how long did it take to get there? I've got a 180mph speedo so maybe if I get a chance on a closed course I will get someone to take a picture of my speedo topped out.

you need a stickpod for a dv camcorder so you can tape it from the interior. that would be cool.

It's rediculously loud. The lack of window sills makes a huge difference. They just don't stay right up against the car at that speed.

At 5,504 PRM i was going 131.4 according to the VSS.

It took about 34 seconds to go from 80 to 166. The fourth gear portion lasted about 8 seconds. The fifth gear part was about 24. the curve really slows down after about 10 seconds in fifth. You can see time at the bottom of the plot.

It might go 170. That's probibly what i'll tell people just cause it's easier. With the injectors and tuning and 15-18 PSI i'm sure it'll do all of fifth. Maybe 180!

Whoa Rob! That is SICK! I never would have thought that was possible on a stock S15 turbine.

obviously the larger the tire the higher your gear so the higher your top speed.

i think with 275-40-17s it is 180mph or so.

What size tires do you have Rob? are you running the stock 4.08 gear ratio?

Sweet man. I hope with my .86 GT25R I can his around 180+. I've got big 245/50R16 which is fairly larger than stock tires. So I think it'll do 185-190 (i've got slightly higher redline). It'll do that according to gearing at least. I'm sure I have the power too. But i'm sure it won't go that fast for some reason.

That's a nice top speed though. I'm sure it'll do 170.. Impressive for an S15 turbo.

I used a calculator and with the 408 i should only be able to go 160. I don't think the VSS is that off that it would say 166 @ 6,800 RPM. Maybe i have the 3.*** rear end. It is the VLSD from the 180. Calculated top speed for it is 177. Makes more sense.

Check this sight out.http://www.mysportscar.com/tools/topspeed.htm

I'm running 215/45/17's

This is what I got:

Tire: 245/50R16

Rev: 7700rpm

Overdrive Gear ratio: .759

Final Drive Ratio: 3.8 = 203mph 4.1 = 188mph 4.4 = 175mph

I don't know which diff I have though. Probably 4.1, It's a JDM S14 VLSD.

Nicksemianiw, assuming you've got a standard 4.1 rear this is the difference:

Stock 195/60R15 = 173mph255/35R18 (rear) = 179mph

Pretty much the same.. But if you had a 4.4 it would be 167mph and 161mph

On stock 205 size tires, I've gotten my blacktop with stock t25(14psi-dropped to 10) to 172 (I let off, got chicken). The speed was accurate with a biker friend right next to me the whole time. After 160mph, it began picking up slow(about 1mph for every 1.5-2s). It was right up there near redline(set to 8k). If you do the math, 4k rpm is roughly 93mph on stock diameter tires. 7.5k is 174mph and 8k is 186mph for those that do not comprehend.

I was told that the car will shake at 150+mph due to drag without aero modification. So, what kind of aero modification you have?

Silvia front end. No spoiler. The front of the car is slightly lower than the rear. That might help I'm not sure. The car didn't track poorly at all. Wind noise was insane though. The windows buffetted pretty bad. I don't think i'll try it again.
