86k miles on 37X
Dealer replaced front wheel bearings at 70k under warranty. Now with 86k after 8 hr drive, wheels sound noisy. I had a Buick that gradually got worse and it sounds similar except it was not AWD. Around town it appears to have wa wa sound at city speeds. Anyone had exp with this? Rock Auto has Timken and another brand around $75 ea. Thoughts?

Might be the hub or could be rotors rubbing too...typically you can test a hub by turning the wheel all the way in a parking lot one way and then the other and doing circles...does the same noise happen both directions? Not sure about the Y51, but on the Y50, the hub and bearing is all one unit...but if they are separate on the Y51, perhaps a poor install job?

IMO I would never use a rock auto bearing, known a couple people to buy them and usually in less than a year they are already bad, wheel bearings and carrier bearings alike. I would get a Moog from some where local If you decide it is the bearing again. Are the tires low on tread? Some times low profiles get pretty loud when they're about to run out, because the compound gets much harder at the bottom

I think the bearings are cheaper on amazon. I would buy Timken over moog any day. Moog is only cheap rebrands.

Suggest doing the turning/circle test first. That would narrow it down. I also think it could be a tire. I have a tire noise that develop due to a damaged tire that sounds like you described and is audible only at lower speeds 20-45 MPH.
