Hey guys! Long time. A lot of you are familiar with the build up I did for Falken Tire using the AWESOME 240 Vert platform. I have enjoyed the hell out of this project and more so enjoyed being involved in this online community. There certainly isn't a better group of dudes and dudettes!!! Seriously. Anyhow, those of you who know me know I got engaged a year ago and I now planning a wedding. Long story short.....the verts gotta go. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.nicoclub.com/forums/image ... /frown.gif" BORDER="0">

I value the opinions of you guys to tell me what the going price should be. I have an idea of what I need out of it but would like to see what you guys think.

Keep in mind the car will come complete as it sits as well as with an additional COMPLETE VQ35 engine and trans with wiring. So, to sum it up, the car has a spun rod bearing currently but runs fine with a bit of rod knock. My intention was to take a weekend and swap engines for the new one. I also have a garage full of vert parts that will go with the car as well including another painted spare front bumper, convertible top complete with motor, lines, and hydraulic pistons. I also have the rear seat and a gang of replacement parts and switches I bought just in case I had failures.

Let me know what you guys think!

Thanks. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://is.rely.net/3-78-13854-l-9FLoUlU ... jsFPXQ.gif" BORDER="0">

Mickey.. I'm sad to see you selling the 'vert. But I can understand how those priorities fit in line. (I've actually been thinking the same now that I've got a second kid on the way).

Anyhow.. it's really hard to name a price for the car. It's so unique that it's really going to depend on the finding the right buyer.

I will say that I have a hard time deciding who has the best 240sx convertible in the world between you and Greg (AZHitman).

I guess you'd have to start by figuring out what it would cost to replicate this build. That would be your high end potential value. Then it's just trying to balance what you consider to be fair and how hard to want to work to sell it.

You probably have what.. $20k in it?

If I were to pick a number out of a hat, I'd say you should get $15k out of it?

But I am just tossing out a couple of guesses there. The fact that you've got magazine covers and Falken Tire ads should help keep the price up there.

^^ can see where he is coming from.

Although it is a bummer that the engine is knocking, as that can take away some potential from selling the car. Even if you have a spare engine that goes with it. Now you have to find someone who's willing to fix it.

Good luck with the sale! Your vert is beautiful.

Good point about the engine...

Mickey, it would be VERY worth your time to swap that engine yourself vs. just tossing it in with the new car. Chances are your new buyer won't be able to do that themselves.

It would be worth much more with a running VQ and a rebuildable VQ and stroker kit included than it would the opposite way.

Thanks guys!

Damn Seth, you are dead on buddy. 15k was what I was thinking.

S13xCrazy - I was just saying if I were to sell the car "as is" right now thats the condition it is in. I was planning to do the swap before the sale and give the buyer the "hurt" motor, trans, and stroker kit as a bonus. Sky's the limit at that point. I just can't commit resources to do the engine build now that I'm saving for a wedding.

Thanks for the help boys!

That's sad to see. This car's a legend around here. I'd have to agree with the 15k mark, that was about what I was picturing myself.

Just promise me you'll sell it to someone who will treat the car right.

if your happy with 15k i would put it on ebay and set the reserve at 15k that way you dont rule out the possible 20k or more that someone might be willing to pay.

If i had the funds i would buy your car for 20k right now!!!

Oh, well... I'll add this here since his car is only vert with the table. Shawn from RHDJapan just added D-Max front table for me. It's slightly different from Super Made which Vader vert has, but I like this one better since there are 2 slots for the drink and another slot for the cigarrette. There are 23 different colors to choose from too. Super Made comes with only one color IIRC. You can put color and chassis(s13) in 'SPECIAL REQUEST' box when you place an order. This coupon code is good for a week from today, and it'll be $260.38 via EMS(I usually get it in 4 days) and $246.82 via surface, so whoever wants this, order it ASAP!!!! I'll also try to get the quote for Super Made one.

Coupon Code: SKU54078DMaxFrontTable

The table in my vert is from Custom Auto Interiors in Japan. I converted it to fit the LHD configuration.

Now back on topic boys........

Wouldn't the cupholders be on the far side if you were to put it in a LHD vehicle? Considering they are for RHD...

It's for the passenger most likely.

Thats why I bought the one I did. Cup holders on both sides. And we lucked out because the dashboard is pretty straight. Other cars with more curve in the dash could make this conversion impossible.

Ok.....now really.......back on topic. Do I need to start you guys a table thread?

About the only thing that stands out to me with the $15k prics people have mentioned is that is a lot with a bad engine in it. Understand there is an good one with it, but that's a lot of work to drop it in as well.
