didnt break into the 13's..... I have never drag raced such a violet wheel spinning car, lol.I couldnt get a traction at all. Nice prepped track and everything.Using an S13 LSD w/4.40's

NEED SLICKS....

My question being, how much better will it be with slicks. I already ordered some they just havent come in yet...

I did bog twice at line in hopes to avoid wheelspin, but to no avail...

I have no experience with slicks. I want to try avoiding breaking stuff but the wheelspin is unacceptable. Any other way of making this thing hook??

Mine is basically stock but I have a pretty gnarley vacuum leak somewhere so I'm sure that hurt me some as well. She held together nicely though...There was an real s13 there as well, they are always nice to see. It was beat to $hit though.

I dont know what kidn of clutch you have, but let the lutch do the work if you get slicks, for example I am trappign around the same, and run 12.9 @109 with a 2.1 60ft, thats on ****ty 205`s really how you drive it.

If I were you with slicks I would launch from prob 5500rpms, and slip the clutch. Its the shock from dumpign the clutch that usually breaks drivetrain parts.

Tires is the main part of drag racing. For a long time i kept cheaping out and running stock 195/60 all seasons and best was a 12.9 @ 117mph. Just too much power to the tires, plain and simple. Put my new 275/50 BFG Drag Radials on and went to the track on a grudge night when the track was totally unprepped. 1st would spin once boost built. Did a 12.3 @ 119mph, 2.1 60ft the 1st pass and a 12.0 @ 120mph, 1.9 60ft the 2nd pass. On a track with VHT sprayed on it, i wouldnt have a problem cutting a 1.7 or so 60ft and hit mid 11's.

Also the wheel spin is from the suspension and subframe bushings. Put solid bushings in and most of that goes away. Put new rear struts in and it all goes away.

Your 4.40 diff should be fine as long as you run a larger tire than stock so you dont run out of gear. I have a 4.40 and run 26" tires which makes the gearing about stock again.

*sigh*

....I'm another street tire ***. Someday I'll put big boy tires on it. I went 12.6 @ 118 @18 psi, spinny mcspinnerson for me too hehe. With big boy tires I'd hope to be able to run my normal 20 psi.

If your car is essentially stock, that 110 trap is undoubtedly from tire spin...almost a false trap. Your car should be in the mid to high 13's around 100-105 IIRC.
