Brief overview:
Was driving a few days ago and ran over a broken 3/8 stud of a bold with nut that obviously destroyed the tire. drove 1/16th of a mile like that (tire was still inflated) an switched out tire with spare. We began to feel a grabby/binding feeling at very low RPMs(around 1k). placed car on jack stands and put in D and let the wheels spin. The binding was still happening. hold left front tire still it will speed up the right front but the binding and engine shake gets worse. Then held the right front still with the car in D and it eased up. Thought right away CV joint problem. Pulled axle and bearing seemed to be tight so replace but still had the binding/grabbing. Once you pick up speed it stops.
Anyone hear of this issue or have any ideas?
