Are QX56 drivers in Texas (or AZ, or NV etc) generally satisfied with the A/C in their trucks? Are 3rd and 2nd row passengers happy? I have seen concerns online with the previous generation QX56 A/C output.

I am considering the vehicle and will definitely ask for a test drive in one that has been baking a couple of hours in the sun. Just curious to hear owners' long term experiences, if anyone would like to comment.

Thanks

ive a 2012 qx all features and leather and BLACK ON BLACK. i live out in Los Angeles, specifically the VALLEY where it gets super hot.

ive not had any issues with the HVAC in the car, from myself and the few passengers who have sat in the back. not had anyone in the 3rd row.

you will always see more people come online and complain instead of praise for a product, so I am not surprised you have seen remarks from others online.

if the car sits idling in traffic and you have the AC on full blast then you will experience a warmer AC because of the pressures involved with the high and low side of the HAVC and poor air blowing over the coils. this is true for many cars and trucks.

in short, no issues with a 2012 here in LA.

On my 2010 Armada, it is a great AC system for a large SUV. Does my G37 cool off faster? Yes, it sure does, but look how much less cabin space there is!

I thought I'd reply to this one as well, living in SoCal desert area (100°+ is normal) with a black interior. No issues what-so-ever. Did you know that the QX56 has both front and rear A/C? The rear is ducted throughout the cabin and really helps cool this baby down. Big difference between that and my Quad cab pickup that doesn't have rear A/C for the people sitting in the back!

Also, the front seats aren't only heated, they're cooled too! No more sweaty a**!

yes the cooled seats was a welcomed feature! use it every day.

the armadas had the same rear AC system but in the new Q its a bit better in how they have the vents up in the roof which REALLY are a big difference from other vent placements.
