what would be the best engine to make this possibal?...im talking about the quarter mile not the 8th.... with about 10 k worth of parts

All the motors are capable of that kind of power if you have the money. If your going to go for drag racing your may want to go with the sr cause it's got an all aluminum block. But the iron block of the ka might be better resistent to boost. The RB series is another option but parts are a little harder to find. I think it just boils down to personal preference.

Chris' RB26DETT powered S14.5 from Underground Motorsports did a 10.89 on STOCK boost. Just imagine what it can do at just 14PSI. For 10-11 sec car with the money you need to spend on the SR and KA you can do the RB26 swap.

You'll need to double your budget for one... but you can do it with any motor.

me personally id say KA-T all the way but thats just my opinion... it seems like its built for boost anyways just needs some head work. im in the process of building my KA-T.
