Anyone have any recommendations for new tires for an '11 LE AWD? Size 235/55-20. Not too many available and the stock Toyo PXA20 SUCKED and didn't even last until 25,000mi. Looking for something with much more mileage. Local shop offered the Toyo Open Country HTs with a 60,000mi treadware for $239/ea mounted/balanced/old tire disposal.

I personally like Kumho and Nitto tires the best and have always had good results. I have not had that exact size though, sorry.

Thanks. I ended up going with the Toyos. I could've had them cheaper from eBay with free shipping and then mounted them at my friends for free, but still would need them balanced. Easier to just order them from local garage and take car in.

I bought a set of Toyo Versado CUVs and they are a great tire. Highly recommend them to anyone with the 20" rims.

My local guy only had 3 available. The OE Toyos, Michelin Latitude HP Tour or the Toyo Open Country. Hopefully these Open Countrys get close to the 60,000 mile treadwear. I wish the Hankook Optimo H727's were this size. They have a 100,000 mile treadwear warranty and I have over 76,000 on them on my car and just swapped the rear to the front with plenty to go.

Stay away from the Latitudes! Versados are good, so are the Duelers.

Stay away from Michelin? You mean RUN away from them. Most dangerous tires for the LE 20" wheels. You hit a pothole and the whole car goes sideways. High speed turns, like on a transition ramp from one highway to another, the cars back end skips out to the point you have to handle the steering wheel to recover.

We got a '09 certified pre-owned in 2011. Love the car. But it had those Michelin on it. Even during test drive I noticed it, but this was a top of the line every feature in the car at a great price. Couldn't pass it up.

Tire hunting now. Recommendations?

I had the Toyo Open Country tires put on my "10 Murano LE 20" rims. Had them for almost 15,000 miles now. They have performed well in the adverse weather conditions. No alarming tire wear, I believe I will get the 60,000 miiles out of them.

Again I recommend the Toyo Versado CUV. They are a VERY quiet ride and great in all weather types. Mpg has even increased slightly over OEM Toyo A20s.

Yokohama Parada Spec X... Had them for 2 years now and still have a lot of tread left. A lot more comfortable ride than stock. Felt more confident in the winter time. Had bad luck with michelins, would not recommend !,

I've made a couple of posts regarding the 20" tires on the LE. If you upsize to 265-50-20 in say a Yokohama Avid Envigor you will not be disappointed. I worked with a rep at Tire Rack and he said that would be the closest equivalent size to the OEMs. This size also opens the door to many other companies and tire models not available in the OE size. I saw this size on an Infiniti in a parking lot, which is how I originally came across the idea of going with a plus size fitment. It's too late now, but you'll need new tires one day again, so now you are in the know!
