Warmed up the car and went for a for 10 minute drive and the Q was flying like a bat out of hell! Off the line the car launched and didn't give up unless I did. I don't get it. Days like today I love the Q, and then there are most other days where the car is sluggish off the line and has it's moments of hesitation and is missing power. How can the car go from exhibiting so many syptoms to working "almost" flawlessly? The car felt like a brand new car today and I loved it. I also noticed that my fuel consumption this week has deteriorated with the cold weather. I'm going to monitor it to see how much of a difference.

Funny just had similiar thoughts about my 96q. She's been running like a beast lately especially with the tcs off. Then there are times the car hesitates and doesn't respond immediately. Drives me crazy but i too love this car.

1% power increase per 11F drop, also 1% higher WOT fuel consumption.

The Q power output is referenced at 60-68F................also winter fuel typically produces higher power due to higher BTU..........can be as high as 10% usually ~~ 4-5%.

Pretty much same with all cars especially prior to OBD2 [1996].

I always notice the pleasant increase of "exhaust header " noise when the engine is first operated in cold weather- almost a burbling that doesnt occur during the summer?

The thought crosses my mind every day all year long starting from the first cold day of winter . I have been trying to decide which state would be best. California and Florida are high on my list.
