Re-sleeving your block is something typically done to blocks that have had too much material bored out of the cylinder walls and has little to nothing to do with how high compression your pistons are. My question is why are you going to install such high compression pistons?

.....if you go 12 to 13 CR..you will be forced to run race gast to combat the knock issues...allso ..you cant get that much HP out of a ka NA becouse of the crank and stroke..its to long..you need a shorter stroke @ higher RPM lvl's to reach that HP...now you can have a really solid KA with 10.5:1 pistons..nice torque and good responce..and have it set up for turbo later on..turbo is the only way to go for these engines man....good luck..what ever you decide.

I mostly agree with what liquid cool said. I would imagine that 250 na hp is possible, but would require a custom crank and some major head work, along with all the other usuals. You are probably looking at between $5k and $10k depending on how much you can do yourself.

I'm not trying to discourage you, but a lot of people have been down this road before. I have never seen anyone claim more than 200 whp. And that was on race gas. If you want anything over 200hp out of the ka, you should just go turbo (or some other power adder).

Good luck with that. May I point you in the direction of ITBs and a stand-alone to tune.
