Well, I am about done piecing together my own Oil cooler for the RB26. Now my question is. The Thermostatic Oil Filter sandwich adapter has 10AN Fittings on it, and the oil cooler I bought for it also has 10AN lines. Now, I do have the N1 Oil pump installed on the engine.

Now, are the 10AN lines too large to retain the proper oil pressure for the engine? Does it even matter? I know that I can use adapter fittings to convert it to say 8AN or even 6AN lines, but do I need to? Thanks all.

if anything, the larger lines will have less of a pressure drop than smaller lines. less restriction.

smaller lines will artificially raise the oil pressure by restricting the flow to the motor. not a good thing. the increased pressure will just be due to the restriction that the pump is trying to overcome, not the pressure that the motor is seeing.

use the -10an lines

i would say -10 is about the right size for oil coolers. majority of hte kits out there uses -6 or -8.
