I have a 91 200sx (ex.ca18) s13 with a sr20 engine.. Worked fine all last year!

But now, when im firing it, it starts for like 5-6seconds. Then the fuel pump fuse keeps blowing!!? Anyone?

I would say that most likely your fuel pump is on it's way out unless it's power supply is shorting on something. If you haven't messed with any wires or anything near any wires right before it started blowing fuses then it's probably time to get a new pump.

Heres the soluion..Last year i ran at a lower fuelpressure..So the 10 amp fuse did the trick, now i had to insert a bigger fuse 15amp, because of the higher fuelpressure..

this happened to me last summer... it was the connections on top of the sending unit. they were corroded and creating too much resistance. i ended up drilling through the top of the sending unit and attaching the wires directly to the fuel pump. a bit of rtv silicon will seal it up afterwards.

SOLUTION:I was running 40psi on the fpr so i dumped it back down to 30 and now it works like a charm.

Then it sounds like the other dudes solution of running a larger fuse will work for you if you wish to run 40psi...

You should be running 43.5 psi of fuel pressure as your base fuel pressure, regardless....

You do not need to put a larger fuse in there to fix your problem, you will possibly burn out your pump. Check all of the connections and grounds. Also, check your fuel pump relay, that is most likely the problem.

Where exactly is the relay located? All this time I thought relay stood for fuse and that the fuel pump relay was in the fusebox. I've checked over everything already and there isn't any problems that i could identify.

ok guys, I'm having the same issue, except, I disconnected the fuel pump and the wire harness under the hood, it still blows the fuse, if I pull the pump relay it doesn't blow the fuse, however I measure a short on the output connector of the fuel pump relay with the relay removed. Any Ideas? Could it be a sensor shorted out?
