We had a recent problem with the electrics in the car and it was eventually found to be the blue 100A fuse under the hood in the engine bay. The 100A fuse is bolted in and needs to have the fuse box disassembled to replace it.

The main problem I have is that I’m currently in California and the car is in Florida – the person that’s going to be replacing the fuse will be my GF!!!

So does anybody happen to have a link to a walk-through – preferably with photographs so that I can talk her through this via Skype and not have to explain absolutely every step of the process?

Cheers in advance

Nobody here had to do this yet?

Is the 75A fuse bolted in on the base model and if so, how do you remove it? Same process I'm guessing...?

So I just tell my GF that then?

Dude it doesn't really get much easier than getting to the fuse, pull the bolt and replace the fuse. If that's too difficult id suggest downloading the fsm in the top of this technical section, it may have pictures.

Yeah, but that's just not an accurate description of what you have to do is it?

If somebody wanted to know how to remove the alternator then the answer would just be, "unbolt it, it doesn't get much easier" ;)

I need to be able to explain to her, over the phone how to get to the bolt - that's what I'm trying to find out.

FSM doesn't seem tp show anything other than how to check the condition of the fuse.
