I heard Canadian Tire can do this install but to be honest I don't trust the monkeys that work there. Is this a possible solution?
Thank you for the warm welcome. To answer your question yes it is required in order to pass inspection (its the law in Canada)rn79870 wrote:I'm just curious. Are DRLs required in Canada? Can't you just drive with your regular lights on?
Oh, welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy yourself in the G35 forum, and at the other forums here.
I'm in the midst of importing a 2007 Pathfinder and live in Montreal. Would appreciate learning the name of the garage in Ottawa.drcop wrote:I live in Ottawa and brought an 04 sedan from Fla in January. I found this garage in Ottawa that did it for $260 ALL IN!! He placed a module in the engine and hooked up the integrated fog lights to it so now my day time runners are the halogen fogs. It works perfect and passed the Canadian Tire inspection no probs. If you need more info. let me know and I'll email you the garage (if you don't mid the drive up the highway...took about 4hrs to do.)
$1000 sounds insane. I would try to trick the inspectors first by turning the fog lights on auto before I would pay that much.I wouldn't let Canadian Tire touch my bicycle, especially not my G. 20years ago those guys changed my oil and didn't put the oil cap back on. How do you screw up an oil change??? I havn't been back since and some people would say I shouldn't have gone there in the first place. It pisses me off that they are the only ones nationwide we can use for the imported car inspection. I can sort of see it from a Gov't point of view though. They are trying to keep it simple by dealing with only one company. If only our Gov't could think/act this efficiently on so many other levels where would we be? Please do not respond, politically speaking.nutsackninja wrote:Hey guys thanks for the replies..

Agreed...you are correct but there are not nearly enough. Ontario, for ex. has the most with only 21 options and all of them are in Southern Ont. People in rural communities do have a choice but they are most likely heading to C.T. beacause every town has one.Not the case with nutsackninja...jdanielsg wrote:Again, people... it is NOT true that Canadian Tires is the only place that does inspection.. AGAIN.. it is NOT TRUE.
