^^^ LOL yeah that was funny. i use to work next to this drag car fab shop. i remember this one balls to the wall tube chassis mustang was sporting HKS wastegates. i chuckled to myself because an american car was sporting japanese goodys.

I love when someone asks about/ or refers to a stage 2 kit.... there like uh...um.. yea sure.. we have a couple ideas. Id like to know how the car is doing now though

Push a Japanese motor with twin turbo and it will do ok, even a well build Chevy motor can take it... But Ford? I could be wrong but I don't think so. My guess is this thing will pop sooner than later.

It comes supercharged. Even the SVO Cobra motors have all forged internals.

lmfao, i think you are misinformed.It comes factory supercharged. They come from the factory with forged h beam rods and aluminum pistons.ur acting like every japanese motor can take 1k hp stock. What japanese/chevy car can run 1k hp on the stock block+ stock fuel system?Japanese motor or not ur pushing it with that much power, but to single out ford is retarded considering what the 03/04 cobra motor have done with the stock block,and this being a boosted exotic . Btw he has a built block thats going in it later.What chevy/ japanese motor are u refering to? 2jz, rb26, ls1,lt1, etc??

all i can say is i can not imagine the power that car puts out. i have driven a couple stock gt's (perks of working at a dealership) and it is by far the fastest car i have ever driven. to the ford gt

lol, I know what it takes to make a motor handle large amounts of HP (I preach it all day long to the people I work with).I just know the reputation of Ford, the current quality could be compared to late 80's early 90's Hyundai cars. I'm sure they took more precautions in prepairing this motor for forced induction since it does come factory supercharged, but that motor is the same one they use in a truck (different internals maybe). Honestly, who cares about the Ford GT. Stock for stock it gets walked on by the C6 ZO6 which costs half as much. And the stock Z06 is N/A... so lets see, forced induction Ford VS. N/A hand built LS series motor which has a reputation for reliability Chevy (and Im not a fan of either mind you)... which one do you think would be more reliable?

The car is fast, but there have been some cars here around town that have beat it. There are plenty of cars and bikes that can take it lets say on a 1/4 mile or from a roll up to 140, 150mph (I think because these cars that beat it are mainly set up to run in the 1/4) but after that is over. The owner has had the car well over the 200 mph mark in several ocassions... as far as the what is it doing now..it is getting a fuel system upgrade and bigger turbos, gt40r is what was discussed before and a tune very shortly.. If I get numbers I'll post them up.

Theres always going to be that other car that will beat you no matter what, and i dont like comparing bikes to cars theres no comparison. Id pick my Ninja RR over anything anyday, just nothing else gives me that kinda high as a bike, and im also curious to see what it can do with the gt40's... keep us updated

lIts not the same as the lightning motor different heads sohc vs dohc,different internals, different supercharger,aluminim block vs triton iron block etc... it only share the same diplacement. You question reliability but its already been mentioned that they come with Forged internals and aluminum pistons and put down more hp then the zo6 440rwhp vs 550rwhp.Hell the motor in this thread has 1k hp on a stock motor. i dont see any lsx motor running those # with a stock motor.The weakest svt ford motor would be in the lightning(rods). The z06 your talking about was modded vs a stock Fgt .The Fgt is OVERBUILT!!! just like the 03/04 cobra and the new shelby gt500 are OVERBUILT.You cant name one stock chevy motor that you can just "strap turbos to and be ok" and reach 1k hp period.dont even mention the new z06 because the high compression and CAST PISTONS will own it.

actually i saw todd driving it saturday night, im sure they were waiting on a late night run possibly but i didnt stick around all night. theres 2 guys now in town building something to run that gt, wait and see
