i'm actually only running a ka but it is tuend to be reeeeeeeallly rich, so it back fires alot, but with this gas it's almost non existant! so i like it! it feels almost the same, maybe a little faster.

My car is due for smog, would it help if I put 100 octane to eliminate the knocking? Check engine light is on and I have reset it one time and it's back again.

BTW, I am planning to rebuild my engine soon so if you have any info (i.e. parts, good rebuilder, etc.), let me know?thanks.

if its leaded gass it might mess up you emissions test...

What do you have done to your KA that it requires 100 octain gas? I think most people just run theirs with 89...

it's 1997 240sx. I just want to minized the engine vibration. I think I need to replace the engine mounts. The engine doesn't shake when the mixture is rich. when the engine just started up early in the morning (over 1,000rpm), the engine doesn't shake.

The engine is stock. I was just thinking that maybe 92+ octane can provide a clean and good combustion. In addition, instead of buying an octace booster, just use the 92+ octane.

thanks all.

Higher octain gas is just gonna be more resistant to burning...its not some magic power forumula, Dont raise the octain to fix your car, fix your car then raise the octain
