Okay, I hav esearched for my answers and I think my set up will work okay, but I wanted to run it by some of you more experienced guys.

Here's what I am planing

T3 super sixtyInternal WG set at 10 PSI370CC injectors from CA18Walbro Fuel PumpEclipse intercooler (Side Mount)SAFCEclipse BOVCustom 2 inch IC Piping2.5 Inch DP and Exhaust

I was planning on runnning 6-7 psi but the turbo I bought has a 10 psi wastegate so I figured what the heck! If your gonna get wet you might as well go swimming! right!

Please let me know if you think I am lacking somthing in my set up. I have most of the parts already except FP and SAFC.

Thanks for you input

I was thinking ten would be close to the max on 370. But I don't know for sure that is why i asked

You could always get a boost controller and boost gauge. Can you use a MBC at alower psi than the WG spring is set for?

wastegate's aren't much (internal) you might just wanna get a 6 or 7 psi wastegate instead of trying to run too much boost. with that kind of fuel management you don't really wanna be at the ragged edge.

370's will likely fail open at high RPM at 10 PSI. But it should be enough fuel for 10 psi. Assuming of course you can read more airflow through the MAF. I haven;t confirmed this yet, but based on my Greddy datalogs, I'm hitting 5V on my stock MAF at about 5000 RPM with only 6.5 psi of boost. According to JWT, the stock MAF is good to 260 WHP. Which leads me to believe the actual voltage the ECU can read is actually a little bit over 5 volts.Since the E-Manage is outputting some 4.5 Volts to my ECU max, the Injectors never max out. A MAF upgrade would be required here. I'd suspect the same of the SAFC. While the injectors should be able to support it, the SAFC may not be able to use the full potential of the larger injectors since the MAF runs out. and I don't know what the limit of the S13 MAF is so it's possible it may max out even sooner which could be dangerous at 10 psi.

Okay, Ten PSI would be questionable with my setup. Where can I get a lower pressure wastegate for a T3 turbo. DO I need to replace the whole wastegate or jsut the acuator.

I have a very similar setup; t3 super 60, JWT ECU, walbro 255lph 370 cc injectors (cleaned/flow-tested/blueprinted), soon to be FMIC w/ 2.5" piping, alc injection, 2.5" mandrel bent piping turbo back, no cat. I think with a T3 super 60, which can't flow THAT much air, 10 psi is fine for those injectors; it seems to run well on mine...except for the crappy boost drop off due to god knows what (possibly the mbc). With a bigger turbo that can flow more, you could very well max out the injectors or MAF at the same boost.

However, I'm intrigued that you said yours has an internal 10 psi wastegate--which is exactly what I'm looking to run. My internal wastegate is like 6-7 psi....and that's what you're looking to run....I'm thinking maybe we could trade? Drop me an e-mail,[email protected]

However, I have no idea what's involved in changing them? Is it just swapping out the wastegate diaphragm/rod that connects to the turbo? Could someone answer this question?

the wastegate just unbolts, and you can switch them.

Awesome, I was hoping it was as easy as removing those two bolts from the compressor and the circlip that holds down the actuator rod---

Lemhead--interested in a trade?!?I'd even pay you some $ if necessary--are you sure yours is set at 10 psi?

Here is another question. The guy I bought the turbo form said the wastegate actuator was 10 PSI adjustable.

1.) Does that mean adjustable from say 5-10 or adjustable from 10-up.

2.) I assume you adjust it with the nut on the actuator rod. How do you know what it is adjusted to? Is it a matter of trial and error

I'd contact whoever you bought it from; that's a good question. Yes, screwing in the rod clockwise into the diaphragm increases the boost. You can test @ what pressure the wastegate actuates by using a pressure gauge and a pressure source, disconnecting the vacuum line from the diaphragm, and connecting it to the pressure source. Just add pressure--it'll continue increasing; when it starts bleeding off, that's what the wastegate's set at.

Otherwise, it's just trial and error. Email me if you want

Wastegate actuator/rod for your wastegate actuator/rod (if it DOES indeed go up to 10 psi).

Let me knowMarc
