I have a 2010 Murano SL that generally gets very high marks from me EXCEPT the rear seats angle. Even a short ride becomes very tiring because of the angle of the rear seats. It seems in order to get a tiny bit more cargo space, Nissan tilted the back seats slightly forward putting the rear passengers in an uncomfortable position. Does anyone know of a way to adjust these powered seats to get a more comfortable seating position? Thanks

My MO is a 2009 and I faced the same problem. Then I discovered that there is a nylon loop "handle" at the outside corner of the rear seats on each side where the seat back meets the bench near the passenger doors. If you pull the handle and at the same time push on the seat back, you can adjust the back to any angle you like. Enjoy the new ride.

Interesting...have to see if that's present on the '07 as well.

Thanks...I am so pleased you pointed out this feature to me. Thank you again. I hate to read the manual and my poking around didn't discover this feature. When my wife got home from work I immediately searched for the straps and WOW..I can not be a back seat driver without being so D@#$ irritable!

Glad this worked for you. I do advise reading the manual. Although it is a pain, these new vehicles are so complex that you will miss a lot of great features if you don't read cover to cover. For example, if you press the unlock button on the key fob and continue to hold it down, the front windows will open. If you put the actual key in the door lock and turn it to the lock position and hold it there, the front windows will close. If you don't like the orange ring that is lit around your instruments, you can shut them off. I'll bet you can't wait to read the manual as there are more secrets to be had. Enjoy the weekend of reading!

My wife has the MO and the manual at work (keep it in the car). Do you recall the page number for killing the orange rings?

No I don't remember off hand, but it is in the settings menu of the screen display. You need to find "Dial Effects," I think it is under "Convenience,"and turn the setting to off. When you start the car, the rings will appear for a moment and then turn off leaving a nice clean and clear display. Good luck.

Well, maybe I better sit down and read my book also.

It is actually in the settings that appear under the speedometer. Scroll throught the screens and you will find it.

Still haven't found any way to shut off the orange rings around the instruments which I found very 1960's. There is a setting that skips the leveling up of the orange ring and the sweeping of the needles but I can't find any reference in the manual to a way to shut off the orange rings. Hey, I'm married..I can take being wrong...just tell me.

Any teenagers in the house? If so you're in luck... they know everything, so you won't even need the manuals!!!

Failing that, you can download a PDF version of the manuals and search for what you need. The forum has links to the manuals on-line.
