No, not really. You'd have to be a track junkie or a real fast turn taker to notice. Even then you might not even notice.

If youre the average joe who does not drive competitively, but rather is more of a daily driver, then the only difference is the label and price.

i see lots of stores sell the same strut bars. some badge their store logos on (PDM) and sell the bar for $50 USD. Some sell them for slightly lower, while some sell them for as high as $70. Same bar. same manufacturer in taiwan.

when come across products that are cheap, beware of the shipping cost.

I totally disagree with you. The $10 ebay one's they make $$ off shipping first off. Secondly they are adjustable, whereas the more expensive one's such as cusco are come perfectly fitted and are snug and slide right in. They are made of better quality, are thicker and if you ride a car with them then a car with the ebay one's, you can totally feel the difference

The question is if the difference is justifyable for the huge amount of difference, and for me it wasn't because I got a front one off ebay too, because it does help, just not as good as the professional one's

It's also so cheap becuse the shipping and handling is likely to be more than the item cost itself...

Just ordered a bar from ebay myself...strut tower bar for <$25, yes, please...

yeah dont buy that crap off ebay. i did, my bar was from project silvia and it was missing a weld, and hit my hood making it stick up no matter what i did. it will work and you will notice a differece, but i got some nismo bars and sweet jesus they kick the project silvia's bar butt. definatly save your money and buy a decent bar. if for no other reason than proper fitment. you dont know how annoying it was driving around with your hood jacked up on one side.

Come on Nismo VS some off brand. They BETTER be better for the money spent on em. I have first hand experience with these cheap ones and I agree with wangsandthangs. IF you arent a super track junkie, get the cheap ones...they help out.

you might as well. I got my front strut bar off ebay for like $25+shipping and it works great. They are all the same man metal is metal and they all serve the same purpose. And to whoever said you "probably wont feel a difference" must not have a strut bar and doesn't know cause you will DEFINIETELY feel a difference. And even more difference with a rear.

Just a note on the rear bar though, they aren't near as easy to install as the front and they usually run you about $170-$280 and there are different styles for these. Some go over the speakers and some (like mine) are hidden below in the trunk part. Only disadvantage is the passthrough to the trunk when the seat is down is taken up mostly by a strut bar, but at least its not showing! You won't find a cheapie rear for the front off ebay...you'll be lucky to find one for the rear at all on ebay

^^^thatsw hhy you buy real parts. parts that are made specially for a certain chassis. ebay parts are made cheap and fitment sucks.

well mine fit great. As far as a $10 strut bar i would be skeptical...$20 and up will more than likely fit..just my 2 cents

i know the comparsion wasnt really the point. the point was the bar was poorly made and fit like crap. i wouldnt recomend project silvia though. i dont know about anyothers.

I justify the price of my JIC strut tower bars by simply looking at them. Not to sound like a fairy but they really are a work of art. I tried a crap-tacular Ebay front bar and I had to "make" it fit but then it got all screwed up because the hood was resting on it. I "upgraded" to JIC and they bolted up like they were from the factory...........

^ I had a cheap ebay strut bar and took it off because I wanted to race G-Stock in autoX. I personally never noticed much of a difference between that and not having one really.

I was about to mention hearing cheap strut tower bars break, but hey as long as you got a back up plan!

I wonder what kind of rigidity it's gonna give though

I've never seen a strut bar break. You could make one urself tha twould essentially do the same thing as a readymade one.
