I was wondering if anyone else who owns a Q45 has had a problem with their 10 disc cd changer? Mine barely works. I can listen to a cd for maybe 5 minutes, then it gets all fuzzy and eventually just stops. Has anyone else had this problem or know whats wrong?

Hi, my 10 Disc Sony CD player took a dump after my mechanic replaced all the suspension a few months ago-what's this Clairon CD changer? Can I get more info?

Events should not be connected.

True, but to access the Pass rear strut top mounting point, he'd have to remove the trunk liner/cover that goes around the CD changer. I'd remove those dress pieces in the trunk and see what may have gotten knocked loose/disconnected.

My old '94 Q45t came with the 10 disc Sony changer in the trunk. In the 12 years I had the car, I had to have it rebuilt or exchanged 3 times. It got to where there were no parts available to repair shops. The unit had to be pulled and sent back to Sony, where I suspect they just replaced it with a backup supply of spares. Cost over $250 each time, and I had to wait almost 3 months each time for it to be replaced. I sure hope I don't have that to look forward to on the in-dash 6 disc CD changer in my '05 Q45.

I understand it's not easy to replace it with an aftermarket CD changer that will work with the Bose system, but if you can find one that will work, it's probably the best way to go. Hopefully, someone here can tell you how to do it or have it done.

Good luck.
