Hi, I have just gotten a 1983 daully Datsun and I'm sorry to hear the stock 24Z engine cant be modified much. I'm looking at putting a V30 ? or some kind of V-6 in it but I don't think a sports car transmission could take the abuse of turning 4 back tires. I'd like to keep it light to, I know the truck can handle a heavy engine but there's no weight in the rear, it's all in the axle and tires. Anybody have any suggestions? I'd like to get a EFI or throttle body so I can set it up to run on LPG also.
