There are a fewthings I like about the car, like the snazzy paint job. But there are also things I think are kinda tacky or unfinished making it less impressive overall. For example, the holey rear bumper looks silly, and the ziptie and hose clamp gauge mountings on the roll cage scream unfinished or cheap. I've also never quite understood why so many people put money into making the car faster and lower, yet completely ignore the brake system. Those look like stock calipers.TurboSauce wrote:While I know this is mainly a nissan/infiniti/Datsun website, But I know you're all mainly car enthusiasts, so i figured it appropriate to share a special evolution from Bahamas with you guys. The feature article is posted on a Bahamian magazine website called AutoTune. Be sure to check out this awesome Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 1.

You dont need anything other than an e-brake to hardpark. That's what this car is.Gold Digger wrote:That much horsepower and he's rocking 2 piston calipers on the front? WOW...
Dont even give a crap about the "motor head bits", it'd be nice to actually show the car being used for something other than cruising. What point is "motor head bits" if it's legs are not being stretched properly. Whether you got a stock turbo or something running several bar, if you're going to 7-11 you're still just getting coffee and some petrol, boring....Hijacker wrote: Hell, the article focused on nothing but rice adders and really skimped by the motor head bits.
I assume by "hard parked" you mean handbrake turns?TurboSauce wrote:We don't have any motor sports parks or tracks in the Bahamas, so right now all vehicles with power are either hard parked or daily driven.
For a car that sits in car shows, presumably with someone wearing a flat brimmed cap and white sunglasses smoking a cig next to it, any rationale pertaining to its construction goes right out the window.Bubba1 wrote:I assume by "hard parked" you mean handbrake turns?TurboSauce wrote:We don't have any motor sports parks or tracks in the Bahamas, so right now all vehicles with power are either hard parked or daily driven.![]()
Common sense dictates more power means more braking power required to stop it. Doesnt matter there isn't a racetrack on the island.
It seems a waste to do all that stuff to it and then do nothing with it except look at it.TurboSauce wrote:maybe once a month or to cars shows, that about it. there isnt anything youd consider real racing going on.
Right, but many folks here don't condone it either.TurboSauce wrote:I dont think I need to say that street racing goes on, that should be a given right?
Hard parking = trailer queen. It's sarcastic.Bubba1 wrote:I assume by "hard parked" you mean handbrake turns?![]()
