THIS is the reason why you don't street race. Please. Don't.

What reason do you think tops getting into, most likely high speed, accidents with innocent civilians and possible killing you and anyone involved or around the accident? I'm drawing a blank.
EDIT: Oh and don't forget, if you got anyone killed, having the pain of knowing YOU are the reason they arn't here.

well when you put it that way... yeah.... that is the reason

i'm tired... and all i got out of it at first glance was that someone ran a red light and hit the street racers.... but yes... the innocent civilian thing IS the main reason

i thought it was just common sense to wait 2 seconds or take off slow enough to give you time to react to red light runners. then again they're street racing, so i'm guessing the "C" word had already left the building.

I'm sure there were a few real ash holes that saw the other car coming but didn't bother to say anything

I don't get it. You're blaming the street racers for the red light runner's crime?

Not completely un-related..Ultimately the runner of the light IS to blame, but that does not mean the street racer had no part.

One of the reasons racing should be kept to the track... It's a controlled environment.
One of the reason it shouldn't be done on the street... It's not.

If he was not street racing he would have had a much greater chance to notice the red light runner. One of the first things they teach your to do as a student driver is to check all cross streets. Not only does this get harder to do while driving at your and your vehicles limits, it also gets much harder to do anything about what you do see.

I drive like a grandma on public roads. I only turn it on when I get to a sanctioned track.

Exactly, the kids racing obviously waited for the green light. Street racing is obviously stupid but in this case it is the idiot who tried to make the yellow light who is at fault.
